Testament

OK, after 10 years it’s been enough. And why? In 1995 we started Brigade M to give our positive donation to the RAC-movement in The Netherlands (and later Europe). The first couple of years we tried to pep things up in our own little country, with some success. There were some gigs, other bands picked up the glove and it even came to a sort of nationalist music-organisation. Arrogant as we are we decided that it was time for Europe.

And now, after over 50 gigs in 17 different countries we have to conclude alas, that the majority of the public (at the gigs that is) are not interested in our message, are only interested in ‘ their’ own movement and hardly looks across the borders. We don’t have the illusion that we can change ‘man’, but if we still see (during our gigs in Europe) manifestations of short-sighted chauvinism and reactionary utterances, then something’s wrong with us, or with them.

For a decennium we tried to shed some order in the heads of many who call(ed) themselves nationalists, but the ‘ harvest’ is disappointing. So do we have to do another European Tour? Release another CD after this one? What more can we exceed? And to repeat the same trick for years over is absolutely no option for us, it stays propaganda, not a hobby!

What the antifa, politicians and enemies form left and right never could do, we’ll do ourselves, Brigade M ceases to exist after 31-12-2005. But we’ll be back on the stages, CD’s and of course in the news. By what name or in what line-up remains to be seen, but they haven’t seen the last of us.

Oderint dum Metuant (Let them hate, as long as they fear!)
